Girls Show Great Flair in Surrey Cricket League
On Friday 13 May the Under 15 girls’ cricket team played in the Surrey league at a small tournament.
This was the first taste of competitive cricket for some girls, and was following some tuition during their Period 1 PE lesson.
The girls did extremely well, and their last game was really competitive, with the bowling improving as each game went on. Many of the team are in my PE group and are now coaching the other members of the group how to play. There are numerous local clubs for girls’ cricket and many professional women’s cricket matches to watch.
