As mentioned in last week’s newsletter, schools have been asked to arrange a single round of on-site lateral flow testing for secondary school pupils at the beginning of term in January.

We will therefore be arranging on-site testing at the College between Tuesday 4 January and Thursday 6 January.  Arrangements will follow a very similar format to previous rounds of testing with students attending College for around 30 minutes at an allocated time before returning to lessons as normal on the following day.  The start of next term will therefore be staggered with provision made for students to access work remotely during the first week before they return to lessons.  Full details will be sent to parents before the end of term but the outline schedule is as follows:

I appreciate this will have childcare implications for some and hope that by sharing this information as early as possible, any disruption can be minimised.  Once again, I am grateful to parents and carers for their continued support while we implement these protective measures.

Please note that coaches/buses will not run on Tuesday 4 January but will return to normal service on Wednesday 5 January.
