A High Performing Specialist Academy for Technology & Applied Learning

College Uniform

Our intention is that students should look smart without involving parents in heavy extra expenses. The wearing of uniform also avoids competitiveness in dress. The College Governors and the vast majority of parents support us in our determination that uniform should be worn, and we ask all parents to cooperate fully.

College Uniform is only available for purchase from Brenda's Schoolwear, Frimley Road, Camberley.  Students are expected to wear the regulation trousers and skirts bearing the new College logo that was introduced in September 2015.

Second-hand uniform

Collingwood encourages parents to pass on uniform when their child grows out of it or leaves the College.  This is more sustainable and extends the life of garments and of course helps other parents with the cost of uniform.

Our ‘Uniform Bank’ of second-hand uniform will open from Monday 1 August to Wednesday 24 August 2022 in Kingston building between 10am and 2pm.

Footwear

Plain completely black leather/’leather-like’ footwear suitable for College use. Max heel height 2”/5cm.  No alternative colours to black are permitted to be present on the footwear.  These must be solid soles (no bubble soles or air compartments) and can be laced, slip-on or Velcro. All laces must be black.

  • No stiletto/high heeled shoes
  • No suede
  • No Sliders
  • No canvas/fabric/polyester uppers
  • No platform shoes
  • No dolly shoes
  • No Plimsolls
  • No backless shoes.

We advise against buying expensive fashionable footwear for College.

Please ensure that all items of uniform (plus coats/jackets) are labelled clearly with your son/daughter's name as we do have lots of items in our lost property which are never claimed.
