The 16 to 19 Tuition Fund 2021-2022 Academic Year
The College aims to provide additional support for 16 to 19 students in English, Maths and other courses where learning has been disrupted arising from COVID-19. Students will be supported primarily by bespoke Departmental interventions where identified students work in small groups with class teachers in addition to their normal lessons.
This intervention will primarily take place outside of term time in teacher-led catch up sessions held at College in February half-term and at Easter break. Group size for these sessions is between 1 and 7 students. Students may also be offered teacher-led small group tuition offered outside the timetabled College day in a block of 6 consecutive 1-hour weekly sessions. Individual student learning support in the form of one-to-one tuition for disadvantaged students, and students with an EHCP, is also considered where students have experienced additional disruption to learning due to COVID-19.
Students who require additional Maths and English support and/or students who have significant learning gaps as a result of disruption to learning arising from COVID-19 are eligible for the provision. This includes students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
