Teacher of Maths - Part Time or Full Time

Collingwood College is a High-Performing Specialist Academy for Technology and Applied Learning and a “Good School with Outstanding Leadership and Management” (OFSTED February 2017). Collingwood College continues to grow and flourish. (OFSTED February 2017)

We are seeking an enthusiastic suitably qualified and experienced teacher of Maths to teach across the full age and ability range and become actively involved in a leading Maths department. Applications would also be welcomed from candidates returning to work after a career break.

Pastoral Support Assistant (Personal Tutor) 6th Form

We have an exciting opportunity for a Sixth Form Personal Tutor to join our team from January 2021 ( or earlier).  The successful candidate will play a lead role in the monitoring of attendance and academic progress of a cohort year 12 and 13 students as well as supporting the Head of Sixth Form in promoting the policies and practices which reflect the College’s commitment to high achievement, effective teaching and learning and exemplary pastoral care.

You will be responsible for supporting students with university applications whilst providing Information, Advice Guidance for apprenticeship and employment opportunities.  In addition, you will also be responsible for updating student records; supporting the delivery of the personal tutorial programme; supervising students with independent study; administering intervention and collating data relating to progress and attendance.  You will be highly involved in Sixth Form events such as Open Evening; Enterprise Days and Parent Evenings. 

The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent organisational and administration skills, be proficient with the use of IT programmes including MS Office and have outstanding communication skills. Relevant experience in a similar role will be an advantage, particularly if you have experience in guiding students through the UCAS progress.

Hours Per Week: 26

Weeks Per Year: 40 (Term Time, plus Inset plus 1 week in the Summer)

Salary: £13,983 (£21,944 FTE)

Learning Support Assistants

Hours and weeks:  30 per week, 39 weeks per year

Salary: £12,911 per annum (FTE £18,010)

Contract: Initially Fixed Term to July 2022
